| Revlon Lip Butters |
Today I have a small post for you on my top three Revlon Lip Butters. I think about a year or so ago these little babies where the talk of the internet. Every YouTube Guru had about 7 of them and I was sitting back rolling my eyes, "how could they be that great?".
About 6 months after the initial hype I decided I better jump on the bandwagon before it was completely gone and I purchased my first two lip butters, Sweet Tart and Candy Apple. I was extremely surprised when I actually applied these colors for the first time because all of the hype made sense. Not only where they extremely comfortable to wear, they lasted quite a long time on my lips and felt really moisturizing. But that wasn't even my favorite part! I absolutely loved these for in my makeup bag because they where so build-able. One swipe leaves you with a gentle stain, where 3 or 4 leaves you with a beautiful opaque color!
Now for Gumdrop. I was poking around Target recently and saw this baby on sale for a little under $3 and just grabbed it. I was really intrigued by the color and wanted it in my little collection! I have to say though that this is not my favorite out of the three... There is a heavy glitter presence to it and it changed the texture quite a bit. I am still considering it a favorite because I love the color, such a pretty purple!
Overall I think you really get a good bang for your buck. They come in an array of colors from some everyday colors to some more daring colors. The texture and color payoff is pretty fabulous. And pretty much I think they are a makeup bag staple!

I believe these are the best swatches I have seen & honestly this makes me want to try them! I may jump on the band wagon to!

When CVS had the clearance sale, I was actually on the fence about getting Sweetart. I don't regret not getting it, but it is a nice colour.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are creme brulee and creamsicle! I have been meaning to get more, but Idk what colors to get. I've also been really into their just bitten kissable lip stains! so good.
ReplyDeleteI love these all so much! I have nearly all of them now, 18 I think! I really like Sweet Tart and Candy Apple for brighter colors, but my ultimate favorites are Sugar Frosting and Cupcake!

Your swatches would make want to buy them all over again! I have four, had five (gave away Gumdrop, haha) I love them in the summer time but I don't reach for them as often. I'm not sure why, they're in plain sight but I'd always rather grab a lipstick :/ I should make an effort to wear them more! Sweet Tart is really pretty and I've always wanted lollipop! :)

I still love these :) Sweet Tart is such a lovely bright pink. Gumdrop is gorgeous even though it's not all that flattering on me - I just love the light lilac colour.

I have Cupcake but I'm not 100% happy with it since it's not moisturizing enough for my extra dry lips and the color payoff is not great so it requires lots of buildup x
