You may have saw my Instagram photo of these a few days ago, it was taken after stopping at four different locations to find them... Limited Edition palettes by Wet 'N' Wild are known for being hard to find so I started my journey early this time. When arriving at a local Christmas Tree Shop I found 4 of these palettes and quickly grabbed them all, two are going to the lovely MissMagentaSue.
Let's get down to business. First to start off the packing is amazing, very spring oriented and quite girly especially when compared to the normal black packaging. I find the packaging looks very clean... well that is until you start using the shadows and they become very apparent against the white packaging.
Then it gets interesting... I had huge expectations for these products. And let's just say I am not overly thrilled. The initial swatches where weak. Especially in the "Going in the Wild" Palette, I was expecting a lot more out of the purple and the green because those seemed to be the center point. "Nude Awakening" was nice and has a few stand outs, but not much we haven't seen before. Still "Nude Awakening" is the stand out in my opinion.
Though I am slightly disappointed I really have to point out a few positives. With both of these palettes you get 1-2 matte/semi-matte colors, which are nice. In Nude Awakening the left eyelid color is gorgeous it is almost a rose-gold and would look beautiful with just about any eye color. And I also really love the right crease color, it is very reminiscent of denim blue-jeans to me. As for Going in the Wild, the colors are weak in pigmentation but over a white base it does help and make the shades have a pop to them.
As for overall I think you cannot beat the products for the price, even if there are a few flaws. And if you are thinking about buying either of these I would definitely go for "Nude Awakening". And act fast, because these babies are hard to find and won't be around for long!

  1. Nude Awakening has a couple of really pretty colors that look like Naked palette dupes, maybe. But I agree, I thought Going in the Wild would be a lot more of a "WOW" type palette! Oh well, still pretty :)

  5. Oh no, I was so excited for the "Going in the Wild" Palette! They lack the pigmentation I know of from Wet N' Wild, but they're still very pretty color combos and for the price it's something I may be able to over look! You're right maybe under a white base they'll really pop! Great review Andrea, and as always your photos are Stellar!!!
