Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette | Review, Photos, Swatches, Tutorial

   Today is the day where I am prepared to give you a full review of the much anticipated and talked about Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette!

   If you watched my initial unboxing, or read my blog post, you will know I have quite the rocky start with this palette. For me it just didn't have that "wow" factor I was looking for and the quality didn't seem up to par with the previous urban decay palettes I currently own.

   I do have to say on the contrary I love this palette now. How you say? After getting that first layer off the shadow the colors where flawless (for the most part), they where rich, creamy, and pigmented. everything I expect from Urban Decay shadows. Let's go further into the colors:

‣ Strange | pale neutral pink matte-satin. This color is one of my favorites, it is the perfect matte brow highlight. The color doesn't pick up as well as some colors that are similar in my collection but I think it does the job just fine.

‣ Dust | pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter. Dust is the perfect name for this shadow, that is because of all the fallout of glitter I get when applying this to my eyes. This is a micro-glitter mess. Definitely my least favorite color in the palette.

‣ Burnout | light pinky-peach satin. This is my favorite lid color of the palette, it is such a pretty* color. I think it's great for ever day wear.

‣ Limit | light dusty rose matte.Love this for transitioning and blending, but have also used this as a lid color for a more smokey neutral eye. Another thing I like about this palette is that you can, for the most part, get a full matte eye look.

‣ Buzz | metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter. A pretty pink color with even more glitter. Another one of those "pretty" colors that you could wear everyday. Only noticed light glitter fallout with this one.

‣ Trick | light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle. If you watched my unboxing video then you will know this was the most disappointing color, even now that I feel it is more pigmented and rich. I do like this color for that, but I do expect more out of metallics from Urban Decay.

‣ Nooner | medium pinky-brown matte. Another great matte for your crease or to create that all matte eye look. This is a must in the palette. I think all these mattes makes the palette that real all in one eye look palette.

‣ Liar | medium metallic mauve shimmer. Love this color. Not one of the most unique but it goes on super smooth and blends quite flawlessly.

‣ Factory | pinky-brown satin. Another simple staple, a gorgeous brown satin is a must in my opinion. So versatile, again very pigmented and blends out nicely.

‣ Mugshot | metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift. More of a unique color, the texture was super soft and it blended like a dream, I like building this color up by taking small dabs of it and blending it out.

‣ Darkside | deep taupe-mauve satin. My favorite color of the palette, the most unique and still of quality colors. Not to glittery it frosted, but still rich and such an unusual unique color. I will get a lot of use out of this color.

‣ Blackheart | smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle. Another interesting color but it is not as smooth and buttery as the rest of the shades, can be a little powder and chalky. Nice pigmentation though, and bother unusual, unique color.

   As for the palette itself I was always pleased about the packaging, I absolutely love the mirror and the hard tin-like shell. The double ended brush is of good quality and I actually do use it in the application process. And I really did like the little Primer Potion sample packets that came with the palette. I posted a picture on Instagram of them de-potted into contact lens cases, there is so much product!

   So the main question is: Do I need this palette? I personally think, yes you do. If you 1) An Urban Decay Junkie 2) Want to complete your "Naked" collection 3) You are rose-gold obsessed! And honestly I think most of us fit into one or more of those categories!
