I have been seeing so many amazing Big Lots hauls recently, so obviously I had to jump on the bandwagon and see what all the fuss was about. I remember the last and only other time I went to Big Lots I completely skipped over the makeup/beauty isle and just was all about the craft isle. So this time I zeroed in on the much talked about about cosmetic isle of this wonderful world of Big Lots.
Now that's what I call a bargain! I couldn't believe the prices of the cosmetics, they where anywhere from 25-75% off retail value! Not only where there tons of makeup items, my Big Lots also had a wide selection of skincare, nail polish, hair items, and body care items.
I decided to pick up two of my constant necessities while I could on discount: Cotton Rounds and Bobbie Pins. For about a dollar a pack I couldn't resist a deal on the items I go through the most! They are both of nice quality, I have actually had the same type of products for a higher price with a lower quality than these.
Then the makeup items. First was the Revlon bronzer in Bronzed and Chic, I don't have any revlon cheek products and I have seen this product in passing but never thought it was worth the $9-11 price tag, but at a fraction of the price I couldn't resist. I am very happy with the product itself. It is a gorgeous deep matte bronzer that is not at all orange. I also stumbled upon this amazing red lipstick by Covergirl in the shade Flame. I thought "what the heck" and threw it in my pile of items. I was surprised when I put it on and it was extremely flattering. Lastly I picked up two Maybelline Color Tattoos (not sure of the shades, they where scraped off), they where only two dollars each, but I am extremely disappointed in the swatches of these, they aren't at all pigmented. They are more of a light tint of color, thank goodness I didn't pay full price for them.
That's everything I picked up at this trip to Big Lots. I don't think it would be beneficial to go there every few weeks like I do with the drugstore, but I think going quarterly to see the discounted beauty options seems like something I might start doing!

Awesome haul! I actually just went to Big Lots today and got a huge haul of nail polish. Not as much makeup. But I haveh eard a couple youtube gurus claim that bronzer as their holy grail so I think you struck big with that one! I just got a bunch of Sephora by OPI nail polish for $1.80
